Using CompeteLab
These terms govern your use of the CompeteLab website and beta service provided by CompeteLab. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Last updated: September 5, 2026. CompeteLab is in development; beta functionality can change.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13, meet any higher minimum age required where you live, and have the legal capacity or appropriate parent or guardian authorization to use the service. Team organizers are responsible for ensuring they have authority to invite members and share information.
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share another person’s credentials.
Acceptable use
Use CompeteLab lawfully and respectfully. Do not harass others, submit unlawful or infringing content, access accounts or private team information without authorization, attempt to compromise the service, distribute malicious code, or misuse recordings. Do not use AI outputs to make medical diagnoses or decisions requiring a qualified professional.
Your content and team content
You retain your rights in the content you submit. You grant us the permission needed to host, process, transmit and display that content to operate the service, including generating AI responses, summaries and performance insights for the audience associated with the feature you use.
Only submit content you have the right to provide. Shared team content can be accessed by the people authorized for that team space. Respect teammates’ privacy, check sharing settings and obtain permission before distributing their contributions outside the team.
Account deletion and shared team content can require different handling. See our Privacy Policy and account deletion information.
AI-generated coaching
AI-generated responses, patterns and recommendations may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular situation. They are tools for reflection and discussion, not guaranteed facts or expert determinations. Review important information and use your own judgment. Athletes and coaches remain responsible for training, competitive and sporting decisions. CompeteLab does not guarantee performance improvements or results.
Recording responsibilities
You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent and complying with applicable laws before recording a meeting, athlete or other person. Explain how recordings will be used, including transcription, AI processing and team sharing. Do not secretly record people through the service. Review transcripts and speaker labels before relying on them; automated transcription can contain errors.
Intellectual property
The CompeteLab name, branding, website, software and original service materials are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these terms, you may use the service for its intended purpose. These terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property or override rights you have under applicable law. AI output may not be unique, and no exclusive ownership is promised.
Beta service and availability
The beta is provided for testing and feedback. Features may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn, and information may be affected by development changes. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Keep independent copies of important team decisions and records. Any future paid offering will be described separately before you are asked to purchase it.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using CompeteLab and request account deletion. We may restrict or end access for material violations of these terms, security concerns, legal requirements or discontinuation of the service. Where practical and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address a problem. Provisions that reasonably need to continue, including content responsibilities, intellectual property and liability limits, survive termination.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including lost opportunities or reliance on AI-generated information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights.
Governing law
Applicable mandatory consumer protections and local legal rights remain in effect. Contact us with any concern about these terms so we can seek a resolution.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. We will update the date above and provide notice of material changes where required. If a change requires your agreement under applicable law, we will seek it. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using the service and contact us about your account.
